Cast guide

Quin Mallory-Jerry O'Connell

Quinn Mallory is a 25-year-old advanced physics student at the University of California, specializing in superstring theory. He had two semesters until graduation. He worked at Doppler Computer Superstore until his first alternate got him fired. His father died when he was 11.

Collin Mallory-Charlie O'Connell

Colin Mallory is Quinn's brother. They were born on an alternate world (not Earth Prime), and their parents were Sliders. Their mother and father sent their children to separate alternate worlds to be raised by their duplicates because at the time, there was a war with the Kromaggs. They returned two years later to retrieve their sons, but Quinn's adoptive parents hid him, and Colin's adoptive parents died when he was very young.

Mallory-Robert Floyd

Mallory is an alternate of our Quinn Mallory. He is not a scientist -- he's more of a lab rat. He was in a wheelchair, suffering from a previously incurable strain of muscular dystrophy. It was incurable until Dr. Oberon Geiger used a machine called "The Combine" to extract healthy DNA from a trans-dimensional alternate of Quinn's. Geiger and Dr. Diana Davis selectively combined the new DNA to completely cure Quinn. As a result of another of Dr. Geiger's experiments, Mallory has been combined at the subatomic level with our Quinn Mallory. As of the first episode of the fifth season, the two Quinns share knowledge and memories, in a way -- at different times one Quinn or the other takes control of the body, though they both appear to coexist. Later on, Mallory said Quinn was gone for good, wheter this is true of not remains to be seen.

Wade Welles-Sabrina Lloyd

Wade Welles worked with Quinn at Doppler Computer Superstore (she had Mondays and Wednesdays off). Before she began sliding, she attended North Shore Junior College, where she majored in extemporaneous poetry and prose.Wade is currently being held prisoner on an alternate earth in a Kromagg-human cross-breeding camp.

Maximillian Arturo-John Rhys-Davies

Maximillian P. Arturo, a noted international physicist, is the Regents Professor of Cosmology and Ontology at the University of California. He has also studied nuclear physics. Professor Arturo died in The Exodus, Part 2 while trying to protect Quinn from a bullet.

Rebrandt Brown-Cleavant Derricks

Rembrandt Brown was lead singer for a singing group called the Spinning Topps, a popular Philadelphia soul group, 20 years ago. He got the nickname "Crying Man" because he can make himself cry real tears at will, and can also cry out of each eye individually. His first solo album, Toppless, sold over 100,000 units

Maggie Beckett-Kari Wuhrer

Maggie Beckett was an intelligence officer in the military on her home world. She was a fighter pilot, and was married to a physicist named Dr. Jensen. She kept her maiden name because she was an only child, and she didn't want the family name to die with her father. She originally joined the Sliders in order to pursue Colonel Rickman, who was on a killing spree, traveling from world to world with his own timer.

Diana Davis-Tembi Locke

Diana Davis was Assistant Director at Geiger Applied Research, working for Dr. Oberon Geiger. The accident that caused Colin to become unstuck, and our Quinn to be merged with Mallory, is the result of the experiments she performed with Dr. Geiger. Another of their experiments led to Mallory being cured of muscular dystrophy, by combining his DNA with healthy DNA from one of Quinn's/Mallory's alternates.
